CSL - 20m - CAT.6 Ethernet Gigabit Lan network cable (RJ45) | 10/100/1000Mbit/s | Patch cable | UTP | compatible with CAT.5 / CAT.5e / CAT.7 | Switch/Router/Modem/Patch panel / Access Point / patch fields | black
!! Cat.6 LAN-cable – Gigabit-speed for your network !!

The high quality CAT.6 network cable (20m cable length) is perfectly suited for 10/100/1000 MBit Ethernet networks in
office buildings and private households, whether you want to connect your PC, notebook, games console or even other devices to
the internet or in the network.

This is easily possible with this high-performance Cat.6 Patch cable. The Cat.6 Patch cable is suitable for any DSL speed and
is able to connect all devices with network capability quickly and easily.

The inner copper conductor ensures a very fast Gigabit data connection due to higher transmission speeds – up to 250 MHz in
comparison to standard Cat.5 network cables (maximum 100 MHz). Furthermore, the Cat.6 cables are far less error-prone,
more flexible and also hence more suitable for easier laying.

The bend protection mantle of the plug also offers protection against the plug accidentally breaking off.

The CAT.6-network cable corresponds to the EIA/TIA 568B standard for contacting of 8 pin RJ-45 plugs.

    CSL – 10m – CAT.6 Ethernet Gigabit Lan network cable (RJ45) | 10/100/1000Mbit/s | Patch cable | UTP | compatible with CAT.5 / CAT.5e / CAT.7 | Switch/Router/Modem/Patch panel / Access Point / patch fields | black (Electronics)

I picked up this 10 metre length of ethernet cable to connect my smart TV to the internet router. High definition video was proving too much to be streamed wirelessly to the TV, with stuttering and audio synchronisation problems, so I figured it might be time to try hard-wiring the connection.

Initial observations – the black cable is nice and thick and should offer great protection, and it feels weighty compared to some of the cheaper cables I’ve used in the past. Hopefully a sign of quality. Also, those red clips look much more appealing than the usual black ones, although once plugged in you’ll never notice them again.

After drilling a hole through the wall between the two rooms (TV in lounge, router in dining room) the cable was passed through. It had to survive a bit of brute force to pass through the hole (drill bit was only just big enough) but with some duct tape over the connector it made it to the other side with just a bit of brick dust to show for the trauma.

One end was plugged into the TV, the other into the router, and I then accepted the TV’s request to connect to the network. Finally, I tried a high-definition film that I’d had issues with on wi-fi and there was not a single stutter, playback was smooth as silk. Proof that the cable really does have higher transfer speeds than my wireless-N connection was providing.

Problem solved. I’m now tempted to upgrade some of our other wireless kit (games consoles etc) with shorter lengths of this same CSL cable.

One final observation – the thick outer casing makes this kitten-proof. Our crazy feline friend has a disturbing tendency to chew on cables and so far this has resisted her small but razor-like teeth, unlike some of the other cables around the house.

    CSL – 15m – CAT.6 Ethernet Gigabit Lan network cable (RJ45) | 10/100/1000Mbit/s | Patch cable | UTP | compatible with CAT.5 / CAT.5e / CAT.7 | Switch/Router/Modem/Patch panel / Access Point / patch fields | white (Electronics)

I bought this to run from my study, where my PC is, to the lounge, where my broadband entry and router are – unfortunately – placed. I picked this as it’s the longest and cheapest CAT 6 (which was better for my purposes) that I was able to purchase. I’ve had no problems so far, and it’s a MASSIVE improvement over Wi-Fi for competitive gaming and reliability. FYI, it also runs under doors very easily (as I live in rented accommodation and don’t really like the idea of drilling through walls and causing possible damage!)
