Meghan Markle is joined by her mum Doria Ragland at her cookbook launch

Just a few days after her first project was announced, the Duchess of Sussex is celebrating the launch of the Together cookbook at a special event at Kensington Palace.
The Duchess arrived at the celebration with her mum, Doria Ragland, and Prince Harry. According to royal correspondent Rebecca English, she wore a top by Tuxe, a skirt designed by her friend Misha Nonoo and a Smythe coat for the lunchtime occasion.

Ragland's surprise appearance at the event comes after she was pictured receiving help with her luggage at Los Angeles International airport earlier this week. She looked elegant in camel trousers paired with a matching top and shawl.

The Duchess and her mum were joined by women from the Hubb Community Kitchen who served dishes from the new book to guests from the local community, plus representatives from the publisher, Al Manaar Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre and The Royal Foundation. Coconut chicken curry, aubergine masala and a range of chapatis and sharing dips were all on the menu.

The book includes over 50 recipes provided by the women in the Hubb whose community was affected by the Grenfell Tower fire. Speaking at the event, Markle told guests she was 'so proud' of the women, who will 'inspire people globally' through the project.
