A Quality Street advent calendar is coming – and we can’t wait for Christmas

It’s been a great few weeks for Quality Street devotees. After the news that pick and mix stations will be arriving in John Lewis stores around the UK next month, Nestle has made another exciting announcement...
For the first time ever, the brand is launching a Quality Street advent calendar in supermarkets this year.

Packaged in the classic purple tin colour, the £5 calendar is covered in the façade of a town house with individual Quality Street chocolates tucked inside each of the 24 windows. There’s no missing out on your favourite either – every sweet in this year’s assortment is featured twice in a completely random order, so no two calendars are the same.

As well as the classic Toffee Penny, Green Triangle and Caramel Swirl, the countdown to 25 December also includes the giant Purple One, said to be the nation’s favourite, and a giant Strawberry Delight.

Don’t expect to find the Honeycomb Crunch, though...

Nestle has confirmed that the popular sweet, which was added to the range in 2016, has been removed from tins this year. In a statement, the manufacturer explained: “The Quality Street assortment has never been static and we often change the mix from year to year.

"The Honeycomb crunch was a new sweet added to celebrate our 80th birthday celebrations back in 2016. It’s still available as part of a single chocolate bar for this year but won’t appear in tubs and tins.”

Still, if there’s an excuse to eat these festive chocolates every day for a month, we’re happy.

The Quality Street Advent Calendar, £5, will be dropping nationwide over the next few weeks, so watch this space!
