You can get HALF PRICE tickets to Alton Towers if you have one of these two names – Edinburgh Live

The UK's largest theme park Alton Towers[1] are celebrating Staffordshire Day (which is a thing, apparently), with a very special offer - you can get in for half price if you're called with Molly or Lee.

The deal will only be available on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 April, ahead of the Staffordshire Day celebrations on the 1st May.

The discount is a tribute to Molly Leigh, the famous 'witch of Staffordshire'. Born in 1685, she was accused of witchcraft but died before she was put on trial.

Local residents found her grave had been disturbed after she died, and that led to claims that she still haunted the town.

The 20th-century witch  Sybil Leek[2]  claimed to be a descendant of Leigh's, and took to keeping a crow, named Mr. Hotfoot Jackson, around with her, just as Leigh had done.

To claim the discount you'll need to be called either 'Molly' or 'Lee'.

They will be accepting the following variations; Molly, Molea, Moleah, Molee, Molei, Moleigh, Moley, Moli, Molie, Mollea, Molleah, Mollee, Mollei, Molleigh, Molley, Molli, Mollie, Lee Leigh,Lea, Leah, Lei, and Ley.

To claim, simply turn up at the park's Ticket Sales and Collection point with valid ID showing your full name, and quote "Molly Leigh".
