Iceland's amazing offer to celebrate refurbished store – Warrington Guardian

A TOWN centre supermarket is offering a big discount on food shops when it reopens following a refurbishment.

Iceland on Crosfield Street will close its doors on Saturday until Thursday, May 16 for a refit.

Customers will then be able to get £3 off a £15 shop with vouchers available in-store.

The refurbishment was scheduled before an electrical fire broke out two weeks ago.

Store manager Lewis Hoather, said: "We were having a refit anyway.

"There was hardly any damage and we just gave the shop a clean-up and reopened a day later.

"The turnaround was really quick."

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Iceland on Crosfield Street at 1.15am on Friday, April 26.

Two fire engines were sent to the scene, with the fire having started in a freezer in the store.

Crews remained at the scene for around 45 minutes.
