When is Cyber Monday 2019 – and what deals to expect this year – Mirror Online

Cyber Monday is just two months away, with this year’s big day all taking place on the 2nd December 2019.

Hugely discounted deals will be available at retailers all across the UK, with Cyber Monday is home to last chance deals on everything from tech, to fashion, to toys and even alcohol.

Despite some brands such as Curry’s and Amazon expected to run week-long sales events over the Black Friday period, Cyber Monday is still a major day for caching a bargain, often marking the last day of the sales for shops.

With so many exciting new gadgets having only just launched, including the iPhone 11 , Nintendo Switch Lite, and Amazon Echo speakers and devices , Cyber Monday 2019 will undoubtedly be one of the biggest yet, as retailers begin cutting prices on newly launched products once the first wave of consumers have scooped them up for the RRP.

TV discounts are guaranteed on Cyber Monday

Judging by last year’s deals, we can expect this year to be focused on pretty similar items, including TVS, laptops, gaming and smart home devices.

For the tech side, the likes of Curry’s and Amazon usually host their own discount events over the Cyber Monday period, so it’s very probable that they will be pushing price cuts on the 2nd December.

Whilst the PS4 Pro was barely discounted last year, we can expect some major price cuts come December 2nd now that the console is much older.

We can also expect to see the first discounts for the brand new iPad 10.2 and revised Nintendo Switch Lite, which still remain at the same hefty price as when they first launched a few weeks back.

As for fashion, last year Topshop and ASOS both ran discount codes over Cyber Monday, along with many other major clothing retailers, so if you’re looking for something in particular it may be worth waiting until December 2nd.

Toy sales tend to mimic the Christmas hit lists, meaning that L.O.L Surprise dolls, slime, Nerf and Fingerlings will probably be discounted, as retailers rush to get rid of stock before Christmas shopping season ends.

Cyber Monday 2019 will take place on Monday 2 December 2019

Why is it called Cyber Monday

Cyber Monday was first coined back in 2005 by Ellen Davis and Scott Silverman of the US’ National Retail Federation and Shop.org.

The general premise was for it to be a secondary Black Friday for smaller retailers, although naturally, all the key players now also participate in Cyber Monday too.

When do Cyber Monday deals begin?

As with most of the Black Friday sales, deals are starting earlier than ever, so as soon as it gets to November we can expect to see discounts appearing.

Whilst we do notice that prices tend to drop further throughout the often weeks-long discount event, there is also the chance that shops could run out of stock, so pick your time wisely.
