How to go ice skating for a fiver at the Manchester Ice Rink at MediaCityUK this winter

Between presents and parties, the cost of Christmas quickly adds up. But we've spotted a deal that could save you some cash if you're planning to give ice skating a whirl this winter. Manchester Ice Rink opens at MediaCityUK on Friday November 15, alongside its Christmas markets.

Tickets normally cost GBP13 for adults - but you can enjoy some frozen fun for a fraction of the price through Wowcher. The voucher website is selling discounted tickets to the attraction, with prices starting from GBP5.

Families and groups can also make savings with bundles of tickets starting from GBP9 for two; GBP12 for three and GBP16 for four. The standard price for a family of four is GBP40 when purchased through the event's official website.

The very cheapest tickets are only available between December 30 and January 5, but there are savings to be made throughout the whole event too.

From November 15 until December 1, you can buy one ticket for GBP8, two for GBP15, three for GBP21 or four for GBP26. And from December 2 to December 29, you can buy one ticket for GBP10, two for GBP19, three for GBP27 or four for GBP34.

Christmas 2019 in Manchester

Time slots are available between 3pm and 8pm on weekdays and from 10am to 8pm on weekdays. The rink is closed on Christmas Day and opening hours vary on December 31 (10am to 5pm) and January 1 (noon to 5pm).

Tickets can be used for both adults and children and will still save you money on the normal child's price of GBP11. You can book your tickets through Wowcher here .
