Scalextric C7042 Digital 6 Car Powerbase 1:32 Scale Track Accessory

The new standards for slot car racing The Advanced 6 Car Digital Powerbase can be used to race up to six cars on a Scalextric Digital layout at the same time, or be used on a standard Scalextric two-lane layout, and boasts a wealth of features that take slot car racing further than ever before. The clear user interface of the display unit shows each car’s ID and the race information of the various modes possible through the Powerbase, such as timed endurance and total lap format racing. The ghost cars (PACER) function allows the user to set one to six cars to run automatically, with switchable lane changing and lap counting on the individual cars.

The Powerbase can assist with races between players of differing experience by capping the maximum speeds on individual cars. An ‘open-source’ output connection even enables the enthusiast to connect the six car power base to a computer for additional functionality using third party software, such as the SSDC. The Powerbase is not just for digital layouts: all the great features are available for racing two cars only on standard two-lane analogue circuits with the analogue power mode. Most standard cars are DPR (Digital Plug Ready) and can be converted to digital in under a minute just by slotting in a digital plug (also available separately).
