The Bosch PTD 1 thermo detector detects thermal bridges and mould risk areas. At the press of a button, it analyses poorly insulated windows or locates uninsulated areas on exterior walls. Depending on the mode, the PTD 1 measures room temperature, surface temperature of walls and objects, and humidity, and interprets the data.
This is performed by means of three sensors and Bosch-developed software. Using a traffic light system, the three-colour LED provides a clear recommended course of action.

At the press of a button, a laser circle marks the measuring area on the wall or object. The maximum working range of the PTD 1 is 5 m, and a measuring distance of 1 m is optimal. The tool is switched on either using a button on the control panel or using the switch on the handle. In the second mode, the PTD 1 measures surface and room temperature and determines whether thermal bridges occur at the measured location.
