Favourite spots in the town include Ingham’s Fish, Dicky Bees Fish and Chips or CJ’s Fish and Chips. If you want to satiate that sweet tooth after you dinner then head to Shuga Shak on the water front.

Filey is easy enough to reach via train from London. According to Trainline you can reach the seaside town in less than four hours if you get a train from London Kings Cross to Doncaster, changing for Filey. Tickets cost just GBP29 one way.

If you pay more you can get there in less than three and a half hours.

Travelling so far away you will likely wish to stay the night rather than making the journey home in one day.
