Kim Kardashian sells Balenciaga items for cheap after their disturbing campaign
Kim Kardashian has been busy flogging a selection of her Balenciaga items at a discount price after the fashion house was widely condemned for their BDSM ads. Balenciaga faced intense backlash back in November after releasing a campaign which featured children holding teddy bear bags accessorised with bondage gear. The photoshoot also displayed documents referencing a Supreme Court ruling that upheld a law which criminalises child sexual abuse images.
42-year-old Kim said she was “shaken by those disturbing images” and reportedly turned down a new Balenciaga campaign. Now she seems to have gone one step further by selling a number of her personal Balenciaga items, including dresses, shoes and hats.

The reality star has taken to Kardashian Kloset to get rid of the items, which is the website Kim and other members of her family use to sell their high-fashion clothing to fans. Those hoping to get their hands on Kim’s old clothes may still be disappointed, however, as her discount prices still require deep pockets.
A pair of thigh-high rare mesh Balenciaga boots are being sold for £4,795 (GBP3,930), down from £5,995 (GBP4,910). The mum-of-four is selling a black denim jacket for £995 (GBP815) which has been reduced from £1,195 (GBP980). A pair of animal print sunglasses have been reduced from £595 (GBP487) to £485 (GBP397).

Other items include Balenciaga caps and a logo sweatshirt.
Following the campaign scandal, Balenciaga issued a statement on social media and apologised to fans for any distress caused. “We sincerely apologize for any offense our holiday campaign may have caused. “Our plush bear bags should not have been featured with children in this campaign.
We have immediately removed the campaign from all platforms,” the statement read. It continued: “We apologize for displaying unsettling documents in our campaign. “We take this matter very seriously and are taking legal action against the parties responsible for creating the set and including unapproved items for our Spring 23 campaign photoshoot.

“We strongly condemn abuse of children in any form.
We stand for children safety and well-being.” It has since been reported that Kim ‘declined’ to take part in a new Balenciaga campaign, after she announced she was re-evaluating her links with the brand. A source told TMZ that the company’s design house had shown Kim an offer for a campaign next year.
While the offer is thought to have came before the latest scandal, the publication says she’s now refused to deal with them in the aftermath.
