Shoppers who do these four jobs can still get money off at Asda

Asda has announced it will offer emergency workers with a Blue Light Card 10% off their shopping in stores until the end of March. The discount has been available in all Asda stores across fior over a year but was due to come to an end after the Christmas period The deal includes food and drink, George at Asda clothing and homeware, toys, gifts and optical.

Blue Light card holders can receive the discount by presenting their card at the checkout. The Blue Light Card is a national scheme which provides workers in the NHS, emergency services, social care sector and the armed forces with a range of discounts. Asda also announced it is extending its cafe deals for kids and over-60s until the end of March as well. This means children under the age of 16 can eat for just GBP1 at one of the in-store eateries, while pensioners can enjoy a soup and a roll for GBP1 as well. The supermarket launched the offer for kids to enjoy a hot meal in any of their 205 cafes last June 2022, with no minimum adult spend needed.

Over-60s will also be able to continue enjoying hot soup, a roll and unlimited tea and coffee – ensuring thousands of older customers can benefit from warm space and a hot meal during the colder months. For the first time since the launch, both cafe meal deals are now also available in 28 Asda Living Stores across the country. Since Asda launched the two initiatives, it has served over 1.2 million meals to kids and over 60s from its cafes nationwide.
