13 Best Deals: TVs, Headphones, and Office Gear

I live in Portland, Oregon, where we’ve had one of the dreariest, wettest winters on record. This week saw our first warm temperatures in months, which means it’s time for a good spring cleaning. If you, like me, found some holes in your technological arsenal (and a bag full of hand-me-downs to donate to charities like Free Geek), now is a good time to check out these deals.

We found discounts on TVs, soundbars, and home office gear, not to mention a MacBook Air deal.

There are several other spring sales happening now and we’ve rounded them up, from deals on camera backpacks and smartphones to sex toys and smart home gadgets.

Special offer for Gear readers: Get a 1-year subscription to WIRED for £5 (£25 off). This includes unlimited access to WIRED.com and our print magazine (if you’d like). Subscriptions help fund the work we do every day.

Samsung The Frame TV displaying illustration of the Golden Gate Bridge

If you’ve been looking for a smaller TV for your apartment or home office, this is a great option, because it can pull double duty. The organic LED display means perfect black levels for movies, but extremely low input lag also makes this a fantastic gaming monitor for both PCs and consoles.

Why make the TV occupy such a visually central part of our spaces? With the Samsung Frame, the TV is designed to look like famous art when you’re not using it.

It’s a slick little party trick, and one that makes it so you can mount this TV on the wall anywhere you’d normally put artwork, saving the aesthetics of your space while still providing the opportunity to watch Netflix. The TV’s picture quality itself looks a bit worse than other models in this price range, but the ability to disappear is a pretty nifty feature for the aesthete.

This is a perfect TV for a bedroom, dorm room, or any other small place where space and financial needs are limited. It has Roku built in, which means access to virtually every streaming service, and three HDMI ports means it can plug into a computer, console, and disc player at once.

LG B2 OLED TV on pink backdrop

Prices have been fluctuating on this TV recently, so this is a nice discount.

This is the right size TV for most larger modern living rooms, and it comes with perfect black levels, LG’s Wii-mote-like magic remote, and a center pedestal stand that makes it easy to place on existing TV stands. It’s amazing how far prices have fallen on OLEDs like this; a few years ago this would have been thousands more.

Surround sound is a great way to take your viewing experience to the next level. I haven’t personally tried this model in Samsung’s lineup, but I have tried soundbars on the higher and lower end and have been impressed with the company’s tuning and ability to bounce sound around a room.

This model comes with a wireless subwoofer and rear surround speakers, providing real physical immersion. Home and Office Deals

2022 MacBook Air

Apple Macbook Air

It’s still a spendy little computer (7/10, WIRED Recommends), but the latest M2 MacBook Air has enough performance for most people, and it comes with a MagSafe charger, so you won’t accidentally rip your laptop off the desk while tripping over the cord.

Having a big, burly screen is my favorite way to work. With this large model from LG, you can place two full windows side-by-side, which makes it perfect if you need to reference multiple things at once in your job.

I also like the curved base this comes with, which makes it stable on most desks, despite its size.

If you make videos, record music, or take lots of photos, it’s super helpful to have a massive external storage drive to handle all your data needs. This one comes at a steep discount right now, making it a solid time to snag an extra. Read our Best Portable External Storage guide for more.

This is our favorite office chair for most people. It’s comfy, has multiple points of adjustment, and looks attractive. In our testing, it worked well enough across different height ranges and genders too.

The best way to check out VR for the first time is with a Meta Quest 2 (9/10, WIRED Recommends). The all-in-one unit can map your space and lets you play any Meta-approved games in its extensive library. You can also pair it to a PC for PC-based VR games on Steam and elsewhere.

The larger size of the hard drive in this one means you can store more games. It comes with Golf+ and Space Pirate Trainer.  Headphone Deals

Beats Fit Pro wireless headphones in charging case

It isn’t the cheapest we’ve seen our favorite workout earbuds, but they’re still cheaper than the usual £200 list price from Apple.

I like how easily these stay in my ears, with rubbery fins that keep them secure during even the most vigorous activity.

It’s not the steepest discount we’ve ever seen for these, but at £70 off their usual list price, these top-tier noise-canceling buds from Sony (7/10, WIRED Recommends) are absolutely worth buying over AirPods Pro for the same price. You get better sound quality and noise cancellation than Apple can offer here, plus an IPX8 water resistance rating that means they’re better for the gym.

These earbuds (8/10, WIRED Recommends) work with Android and iPhone but have a few extra features when used with the former. They’re comfy in the ears, look attractive, and sound great for the price.

It’s just a shame there’s no wireless charging support.

If you can pony up a little more, the Pixel Buds Pro are also on sale for £150 (£50 off) with beefed-up sound quality and great noise cancellation.

The case supports wireless charging.
