CBS reports that at least five journalist and TV reporters from Ecuador received a bomb disguised as a USB stick this month. The bomb explodes when placed on the computer. So far there’s only one suspected case where it’s been.
The journalist in question suffered minor injuries.
The police also detonated a USB stick in a controlled manner.
According to the police’s Xavier Chango, the USB bomb uses the charger.
