Bargain hunter boasts about getting £70 worth of Asda flowers for just £6
SHE couldn’t resist taking to Facebook to boast about her floral haul. But when Pam posted on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group about getting GBP70 worth of flowers for just GBP6, she was inundated with comments from people all saying the same thing.

“Asda GBP 6.00 for GBP70 00 worth of flowers, a bargain!” she wrote alongside pictures of the masses of flowers. The images appeared to show around 19 bunches of flowers – which had been reduced following Mother’s Day.
“Who the hell needs/wants that amount of half dead flowers?” one angry person wrote in the comments section. To which Pam replied: “Actually very fresh and am giving them to my girls if that’s ok!” “Do you have lots of birthdays coming or something?” another asked.
With Pam responding: “Haha no, just bought them for my daughters and granddaughters, couldn’t leave them there for 75p a bouquet! “Left plenty for others tho!” “Just shows how much you get ripped off in the first place,” a third commented.

Others defended Pam, with one writing: “Nobody should have to justify buying so many flowers. “They are gorgeous, if I could get a few bundles, it would brighten up my home, and I would put some on my MIL and FIL graves.”
And even revealed their own bargains and ways they were using them. “I got GBP10 bunches for 75p,” one wrote. “in asda today had hundreds of bunches.someone over ordered.”
“I bought a GBP15 bunch for 1.58 yesterday and a GBP6 for 90p. I bought for mine for family and friends,” another added. “There’s often flowers reduced if you pop over around 10-11pm,” a third commented.
“Remove dead leaves snip the bottom pop in the vase with a drop of bleach they will be good as new next day.”
As someone else wrote: “I do this if I spot them I need to buy them but especially the gypsophila I dry it out, saves me a fortune because it’s GBP10 for dried gypsophila in Dunelm and I love them!”
