Published on 29 March 2023 The Red Cross is calling for young people aged 14-24, to apply for their project Steering Committee to support a disaster and climate resilience building project based in Lake Macquarie. As a Youth Representative on the Steering Committee, you will advise on engagement strategies and project activities around building awareness for emergencies, disasters, and climate action.
Youth representatives will be compensated for their time through MasterCard gift cards or vouchers of their choosing, to the value of £30 for every hour of work they do for the committee.

- In your opinion, what are the most pressing disaster, emergency and climate issues facing young people in Lake Macquarie, and why do you think these issues are important?
- Why do you want to join the committee Steering Committee?
- What would you like to achieve by joining the Steering Committee?
