Experts have warned that the price of sugar has risen considerably in recent weeks, making Easter eggs a more expensive commodity. Damien O’Reilly, a retail management lecturer at TU Dublin, told RTE‘s Drivetime that sugar prices are up by a staggering 30 per cent compared to this time last year.

Finally, Tesco also had some impressive bargains worth seeking out.

The retailer is selling small eggs, including the KitKat Chunky range, at just EUR1.50. These eggs are smaller than some of the other items mentioned above but will help those wanting to stick to a budget this Easter.
