This Google Pixel 7 Pro deal is one of the BEST we've ever seen

Google Pixel 7 Pro deals are always worth getting excited about. After all, the 7 Pro is the absolute pinnacle of the Google’s smartphone output thus far, earning five stars and a Best Buy award in our review. And while it offers plenty of value at the original retail cost, everyone loves a bargain, so this Amazon Spring Sale deal is sure to put a smile on a few faces.

Since launching, the Pixel 7 Pro has bounced around in price a bit, usually averaging somewhere around the GBP780 mark, with the cheapest price on record being GBP664. While what we’ve got here doesn’t quite match that, it’s close enough to be worth paying attention to. The Amazon Spring Sale discount has brought the price of the Pixel 7 Pro down to GBP669 – a mere fiver off the cheapest price on record.

This deal won’t last long, however, as Amazon’s Spring Sale only runs until 6PM on Wednesday, 29 March, so you’ll need to act quick if you want to take advantage of this price. Buy now from Amazon

If you aren’t familiar with what makes the Google Pixel 7 Pro such an outstanding phone, there are a few key things you need to know. First, and perhaps most importantly, the cameras are nothing short of spectacular.

We’ve been impressed with the Pixel cameras for some time now, but the second it released, the Pixel 7 Pro jumped right to the top spot on our list of the best phone cameras, which should give you some idea of the quality we’re talking about. The combination of a 50MP main lens and 12MP ultrawide shutter are the same as you’ll find on the non-Pro Pixel 7, but the extra money here gets you a massive 48MP 5x telephoto lens, which is the biggest zoom on a Pixel phone yet. The main and telephoto shutters work in tandem to produce higher quality zoomed pictures, producing impressive results that maintain a terrific amount of detail.

The camera suite also packs in decent nighttime photography and a solid portrait mode, offering one of the most comprehensive and effective camera selections on any smartphone. The Pixel 7 Pro also has a gorgeous display, with the 6.67 OLED panel pairing a crisp 3,120 x 1,440 (QHD+) resolution with the smooth 120Hz refresh rate that we’ve come to expect from flagships. Being an OLED panel, this display predictably nails the black and contrast levels, with effectively perfect results, and colour accuracy is some of the best we’ve ever seen.

It’s also impressively bright, reaching a peak of 903cd/m2 in auto brightness mode during our tests, and 1,023cd/m2 when displaying HDR content, both of which are excellent results. Buy now from Amazon

Looking to the internals, the Pixel 7 Pro runs on the second-gen Google Tensor chipset, the G2. This octa-core processor gets a slight bump in clock speed over the previous generation, now reaching up to 2.85GHz.

It’s paired here with a generous 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space – the 256GB model is also on sale, but it’s not as much of a discount as this one. Both CPU and GPU speeds see decent improvements over the previous Pixel generation, keeping pace with pricier competitors like the Samsung Galaxy S22+. Battery life also gets a solid boost compared to the Pixel 6 Pro, with the 5,000mAh battery lasting for around 18.5 hours in our test with the display set to the QHD+ resolution.

When we cranked it down to FHD+, the phone pushed on for over 23 hours, which is very impressive. Once depleted, the battery recharges via USB-C, with support for power delivery up to 30W, or wirelessly up to 23W. Wired charging took the battery from empty to 50% in around 35 minutes in testing, which is decent enough for most users.

So that’s all the good stuff, but there are a couple of negatives to be aware of. First of all, the Pixel 7 Pro doesn’t feature a microSD slot, so you’ll be stuck with the onboard storage, and there’s no support for dual SIM either. The design also doesn’t expand much on the Pixel 6 Pro, with the controversial chunky camera bar returning once again.

It’s not exactly unattractive, but some many find it to be a bit gaudy, so that’s worth considering before making your purchase. Buy now from Amazon

If you can overlook a couple of curious design decisions, the Google Pixel 7 Pro is one of the best Android phones on the market right now, even more so when you consider how much less it costs than most other flagships. The cameras are the main reason to be excited, with the already excellent photography suite joined here by the biggest zoom camera ever used on a Pixel, but the gorgeous display and solid internals are much appreciated as well.

It’s unlikely that there will be another Pixel 7 Pro deal as good as this one anytime soon, but if you’re in the market for anything else, our main Amazon Spring Sale hub has all the biggest bargains we’ve found collected in one place.

We’ll be updating this page right up until the end of the sale, so check back in regularly to see what wonders we’ve discovered.
