Townhall Treasures urges people not to miss out on bargains as …
The owners of independent, family-run jewellers Townhall Treasures, in the heart of Penrith, are looking forward to a well-earned retirement after 33 years at the helm. Owners Vanessa and Bert Aked say the plan is to close the doors finally around the end of April, although the actual final date is yet to be formally announced. The business provides quality diamond and silver jewellery and is a stockist of top brands including Nomination, Trollbeads, Vivienne Westwood and Thomas Sabo.
Vanessa said: “Since we first announced our intention to retire in August last year, we have been deeply touched by the very many well wishes, messages, and words of appreciation we have received. “We moved up to Penrith from Leeds in the 80s to give ourselves and our daughters a better quality of life, and that is exactly what we have and continue to enjoy. “We have no intention of leaving Cumbria, and our three daughters and now six grandchildren all enjoy living here.
We are just looking forward to the next chapter of our lives and will take a great many happy memories of our time here with us as we retire.” Currently, the shop is holding a retirement sale and with only a few weeks left to go Vanessa is keen that people don’t miss out on the opportunity to grab some of the current bargains on offer. She said: “Our retirement sale offers include 30 per cent off new gold and diamond jewellery, and three for two on Nomination charms.
Many items have 50 per cent off including all Trollbeads and Emozioni jewellery. “For real bargain hunters there are lots of items for under GBP20 so there will be something to suit all pockets. “Once it’s gone it’s gone and with only a month to go, there is not much time left for people to take advantage – so hurry or you will lose out!”
