At the beginning of the college basketball season, UConn head coach Dan Hurley said that star player Jordan Hawkins could play himself into being a potential first-round pick in the NBA Draft. Prior to the start of the NCAA Tournament, Hawkins inked a NIL deal with Dunkin’, and before Hawkins and the Huskies traveled to Houston for the Final Four, the popular coffee brand made sure to capitalize on Hawkins’ name, image and likeness. Hawkins was seen handing out Dunkin’ gift cards, as well as doughnuts, to fellow UConn students on campus.
