A North Carolina mom has become something of a hero on TikTok after making it her mission to claim each and every one of her free birthday offers from local stores and restaurants. “I was determined this year to get everything for my birthday,” TikTok user @tres_boutique3 says in the clip, adding that she usually signs up for store mailing lists or rewards, but rarely claims the free gifts they offer when her birthday rolls around. This year, however, she did — and she brought home a truly impressive haul of treats by the end of the day.

After driving around town, the TikTok mom managed to collect: A confetti cupcake from a bakery called Nothing But Cakes, a dozen doughnuts from Krispy Kreme, a jarred dessert from Slim Chickens, a confetti bar cake from Publix, a free sub from Jersey Mike’s and a free 20 oz. smoothie from Smoothie King — all for free! She even remembered to use her £5 “Happy Birthday” Kohl’s cash on a pair of inexpensive earrings, which made them £0. “Happy birthday to me!!!” the TikToker wrote in the video text.

Needless to say, people were pretty impressed by the mom’s dedication. “You are my hero!!” one commenter wrote. “winninggg!” said another.

“I need to do this for my birthday this year!!!” someone else added. Others actually said they make this a birthday tradition every year themselves. “Literally do this every year,” one person shared. “I take off work just to drive around and get free good.”

“I did same thing in Aug,” said someone else. “had about £200 worth of food/drinks.” A bunch of helpful TikTokers also took the time to share additional birthday deals that @tres_boutique3 might not know about. “Target also gives you a % off coupon,” one person reminded her.

“Red Robin does a free meal for your birthday and you can put in a child‘s birthday as well,” added someone else. “Don’t forget Chick-fil-A, Jason’s Deli,The Fresh Market, Sephora and Ulta,” said another person. And then there were those who couldn’t believe that they’d never thought of doing this before.
