To earn the £200 welcome bonus, you need to make at least £500 in purchases with your Wells Fargo Active Cash(R) Card within three months of opening it. After you earn the welcome bonus, you’ll receive it within one to two billing periods. There are several ways to redeem cash back with Wells Fargo, including:

  • Apply it as a statement credit on your credit card bill
  • Deposit it to an eligible Wells Fargo account, such as a bank account
  • Use it to buy gift cards
  • Pay with your rewards at participating merchants

To be clear, only purchases count toward the £500 spending requirement.

Other types of transactions, such as cash advances, don’t. Balance transfers are another type of transaction that doesn’t qualify toward the bonus spending.

The previous requirement was £1,000 in purchases. Now that it’s only £500, you can meet the bonus requirements much more quickly.
