Clinton Town Supervisor to undergo brain surgery

TOWN OF CLINTON – Town Supervisor Michael Whitton has notified the public that he will be absent from work for at least the next month as he deals with a medical condition.  Whitton announced earlier this week that he has been diagnosed with a benign brain tumor and is preparing for an upcoming surgery. “The prognosis is great and I remain supremely optimistic,” he said in a recent email. Whitton noted that Deputy Town Supervisor Eliot Werner will be acting on his behalf, noting that “The town is in good hands”.

Deputy Town Clerk Mary Molloy has organized a drive to collect gift cards and cash to purchase additional cards to assist the Whitton family during the supervisor’s recovery.  Molloy can be reached at 845-266-5853, ext.
