Data Frog SF2000 launches as new cheap retro gaming handheld …

Data Frog has launched the SF2000, an exceptionally cheap gaming handheld. Shaped like a Super NES controller, the SF2000 measures 166 x 69 x 32 mm and features a 1,500 mAh battery that should last for up to 6 hours between charges. As the image below shows, the gaming handheld has a USB Type-C port for charging, as well as a MicroSD card reader and a rear-firing stereo speaker set-up.

Additionally, Data Frog has mimicked the layout of a Nintendo Super NES controller, with two-tone ABXY buttons and two shoulder buttons.

However, the company has added a small analog stick and has moved the SELECT/START buttons for the gaming handheld’s display. According to the company, the display measures 3-inches across and outputs at 1,280 x 720 pixels, presumably with a 60 Hz refresh rate. The display should have good viewing angles too, thanks to its reliance on IPS technology.

Moreover, the SF2000 has a dual-core CPU and 1 GB of RAM, the combination of which should be powerful enough to emulate GBA, GBC and MAME titles, among other game libraries.

Currently, Data Frog sells the SF2000 for US£23.77 on AliExpress before any discounts.
