PHOENIX, ARIZONA: A flight attendant has offered his top travel tips, and wearing shorts is definitely not one of them. Arizonan Tommy Cimato, who posted the tips on TikTok, said that while wearing shorts when flying may be more comfortable, they shouldn’t be the first choice. Cimato said, “Don’t or try not to wear shorts when you’re on an airplane.

It’s the same thing as the window. You never know how clean it’s gonna be, so if you have pants, you’re gonna have less germs.”

He continued listing more tips for traveling and added, “‘Do not ever touch the flush button with your bare hands.  He explained that use a tissue or napkin from the lavatory while flushing because it’s really plain nasty and extremely unclean.” Cimato further added, “Don’t forget to drink water. He posted a video titled, “5 Things You Should Never Do On An Airplane,” and it received more than 650,000 likes. Cimato offered additional advice, saying, “Do not fall asleep or lean your head on the window. You are not the only that has done that and you don’t know how many people or children have wiped their hands or other things all over the window.” He went on to added, “Don’t feel afraid to let a flight attendant know if you’re feeling sick.

Cimato frequently uploads clips to his TikTok account regarding his flying experiences. The content that is most-liked by audience is when he reveals what passengers had said to flight attendants. This includes those who offer him to lodge with them for the night when they travel together and for some reason Cimato finds this odd.

You can do “one simple thing” to ensure that the cabin crew treats you properly, according to a post by Kamalani, with the caption “Your flight will change DRAMATICALLY.” In the video Kamalani told viewers, “If you do this one simple thing on an aircraft, I promise you, you will get the royal treatment from the flight attendants.” She added, “Being a flight attendant is exhausting.

She then said, “So I promise you, the next time you fly, if you want special treatment from the flight attendants this is all you have to do.” Kamalani explained that a little token of appreciation will get you a long way, advising people to buy staff a £5 (GBP3.60) Starbucks gift card or a sweet treat. Kamalani added, “£5 Starbucks gift cards – it means the world to us when a customer gives us this. And if you don’t have gift cards, you can just pick up some candy bars, lip balm, anything and give them to your flight attendants.” At the end, she said, “We will know where you’re sitting, and we will know what you look like and the whole crew will make sure you are taken care of.”
