Eagle-eye shoppers spot supermarket selling school summer …
Bargains tend to hit a little differently for parents who are saving money on school costs – whether this is for stationary, clothing, or even accessories. Mum Rachel Pierpoint-need was ecstatic after she spotted school girl’s checkered dresses for as little as GBP1 in supermarket Sainsbury’s. She took to popular Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK – which boasts more than 2.2 million members – to share her bargain find.
After Rachel shared her inexpensive find with others, people online were admittedly rushing into stores to get their hands on the product themselves – but it seems as if there’s limited availability.

Sharing her post online, alongside two images of the reduced items, the mum wrote: “Sainsbury’s last year’s stock summer dresses also got green and light blue all GBP1, red check all over you get two for GBP1 white top dress one for GBP1 [sic]. “This was Redditch store but lady says they are in all stores with old stock,” she added. Since sharing her find online with more than one million Facebook members, Rachel’s post has raked in over 250 comments to date – where people were left rushing to find the product themselves.

One Facebook user tagged a friend and questioned: “Would you pick me up a couple if yours have them babe?”
Someone else joined in and tagged a pal: “Would you look for theses please if you go to a Sainsbury’s?” Meanwhile, a third praised the products: “These are fab when my daughter was in primary school I always bought Sainsbury’s or Asda summer dresses lasted from September-July unless she had a growth spurt.” Do you have a story?
