The ruler introduces a new mechanic, with Terrain maps that can be of different types. Each type is paired with specific road colours. Players can draw Terrain cards like Wagon cards, and these can then be used to double the value of the roads they take. Adventurers on the rail? In the heart of Africa is an extension intended for 2 to 5 players from 8 years. Wagon cards and cars from the Railway Adventurers or European version of this series are required to play with this extension.
