Descale the device-Limescale can settle on the heating element&insulate it. As a result, the heating element can no longer give off sufficient heat to the water. The temperature at the heating element continues to rise&the steamer switches itself off

No. The device is not designed for any other applications.
Is it helpful to make incisions in the wallpaper or to puncture it before removing it using steam?
In the case of multi-layered and painted wallpapers, incisions or perforations can ensure that the steam can penetrate through the layer. This makes the wallpaper peel off more easily.
