Battery Operated, Eliminates the Hassle of Cables

Tips:

• Use D-Cell Alkaline Batteries (not included). Install the batteries with polarity in the correct position.
• Make sure the battery cover is securely fastened. Make sure the switch inside the battery case is in 'ON' position before using.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, replace all batteries in a set simultaneously: Older cells drain power from new ones, reducing efficiency.
• Avoid low temperatures (<0°C): Reduced output in cold environments, but performance recovers at room temperature.

Installation

1. Step 1

   Unscrew the mounting base by turning the thumb screw counterclockwise. Secure the base to the surface using the included anchors and screws.

2. Step 2

   Reinsert the spotlight into the mounting base and tighten the thumb screw to secure it in place.

3. Step 3

   Adjust the spotlight head to the desired angle using the knuckle screw.

Where to Install Your Security Light

• For best results, position the motion sensor so it faces across the area you want to monitor, rather than directly towards or away from it. The sensor is most sensitive to movement across its field of view.
• The coverage range of the light may vary depending on the installation height. For optimal results, install the light at the recommended height of 2.0 to 2.3 metres.
• Ensure the sensor has a clear line of sight to the area you want to protect. Avoid any obstructions such as walls, fences, or large objects.
• Do not aim the sensor directly at windows, as reflections and temperature changes can affect performance.
• Avoid installing the light near sources of interference, such as moving machinery, fluorescent lights, or heating and cooling units, as these can trigger false detections.

• How can I check if the light’s motion sensor is working properly?

  The outdoor light will only be activated when motion is detected in the dark. To test if the light is working correctly, place it in a dark environment and make a movement in front of the sensor.

• Why does this light use D-Cell batteries instead of AA or AAA batteries?

  D-Cell batteries last much longer than smaller batteries, so you don’t have to replace them often. They provide steady power for brighter lighting, while keeping the installation simple and wire-free.

• Is it waterproof? Can I use it outdoors?

  This spotlight features a tight seal and specialized materials for reliable protection against dust, smog, and airborne particles, performing well in overcast, wind, and fog. Not waterproof—install in sheltered areas to avoid direct rain exposure.

• My light doesn’t turn on after inserting batteries. What should I check?

  Ensure the battery cover is fully locked with a clear “click.”

  Check that all batteries are inserted firmly and in the correct +/– direction, and make sure the switch is turned ON.

  For best performance, use fresh alkaline batteries.

• Why does my light stay on and not turn off automatically?

  The PIR motion sensor may detect movement or heat sources nearby (such as pets or passing cars).

  Try repositioning the light away from heat vents or reflective surfaces. It will automatically turn off about 20 seconds after no motion is detected.
