Our Dolphin Automotive range of van reversing cameras are designed to fit so well they look like original factory fitted equipment. By replacing the housing of the high level brake light you remove the need to drill holes into the metal bodywork of the van which can often lead to leads and issues with corrosion further down the line. It also helps keep the streamline of the vehicle so you do not have an object sticking up above the roof that can get caught on things.

Brake Light Functionality Maintained

In all instances our brake light cameras maintain the functionality of your 3rd brake light. This solution is a replacement housing which your current bulb fits into making it an easy plug and play swap.

Cost Effective

As your van is one of your largest investments in your business then fitting a reversing camera is a cost effective outlay as it helps keep your investment and you on the road and earning money. Also turning up at customers premises with dented vans does not make a good first impression of your abilities. If you are an employer it also helps tick that Duty Of Care box to your staff and customer.

Extra Features

Where the size and design of the brake light housing allows, we have taken the opportunity to add an adjustable ball-socket for final alignment but as standard all our cameras have been designed to give what we believe is the optimum angle looking down at the rear bumper to make best use of those final few feet when reversing in limited space. Most of our cameras also offer reversing guidelines, but these can be deactivated if not wanted.

You can buy our cameras on their own if you already have a compatible head unit you can plug them into. It would need to be capable of accepting either a PAL or NTSC signal. This cameras is not AHD compatible. Your head unit would also need a phono / RCA input. Please note most OEM units require a bespoke wiring loom and so are not compatible. If so we offer a range of dashboard mounted and rear view mirror mounted monitors. Please note some modern inbuilt manufacturer supplied head units may also need ‘programming’ to switch the reversing camera option to On with the vehicles ECU management system so check this out.

Our Range Of Monitors

The 5 inch monitor comes with 2 mounting brackets so you can either adhere it to the dash board or with the suction mount attach it to your windscreen – or even vice versa! It has 2 AV inputs and works of a 12v power supply. The monitor will stay blank and come to life when a picture signal is received.

The 7 inch dash monitor is certainly the more commercial looking solution giving a larger picture on a bracket that both tilts and swivels so you can locate it as suits your needs. The mounting bracket comes with an adhesive pad but it can also be screwed down to your dashboard.

The 7 inch suction mirror monitor can clip over an existing mounted rear view mirror if your van has one but otherwise also includes a commercial strength suction mount to sucker against your windscreen. It has a mirrored finish so will work as a rear view mirror until you select reverse gear at which point the screen will come on.

The 7 inch stalk mirror monitor is designed to attach to the OEM mounting plate / shoe that your windscreen should have for attaching a rear view mirror. It can also clip over an existing rear view mirror if you have one fitted. It has a mirrored finish so will work as a rear view mirror until you select reverse gear at which point the screen will come on.
