The Authentys Pro RT1 is a retransfer badge printer, ideal for producing vibrant, edge-to-edge card designs. Unlike direct-to-card (DTC) printers that leave a small white border, retransfer printers apply the card design to a clear retransfer film, which is then fused completely onto the card’s surface. This process ensures the entire card is covered with your design, even with large blocks of saturated colour. Since the print process for the Authentys Pro RT1 uses the retansfer method, this makes the Authentys Pro RT1 an ideal machine for printing onto uneven card surfaces, like access control cards. The single-sided printer model can print a full-colour card in approximately 30 seconds, and the dual-sided model can print a full-colour dual-sided card in approximately 60 seconds. Both the single-sided and dual-sided printer models come with 100 card input and output hoppers. The Authentys Pro RT1 utilises ribbon erase technology to ensure you remain GDPR compliant – this technology scrambles any data printed using the black ribbon panel.
