What operating systems is the Q1 compatible with, and do I need a driver?
The Q1 works with Windows 10/11, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS (phones need OTG support). No driver is required for macOS, Linux, or mobile devices. Windows only needs a driver when using USB Audio Class 2.0 mode for high-resolution audio.
Can I replace or upgrade the Q1’s op-amp chips?
Yes. The Q1 uses four pluggable LME49720 op-amp chips accessible through the top window. They can be swapped for other compatible dual op-amps (e.g., OPA2604, OPA2134, MUSES02) to fine-tune the sound to your preference.
Can I remove the mesh layer under the Q1’s top window?
No – that mesh is a built-in EMI shield to prevent signal interference. It should not be removed. Taking it off could expose the internal components to noise. For best performance, also keep phones or routers away from it to avoid interference.
Why can’t I find the “AMPAPA Q1” on my phone’s Bluetooth list?
Make sure the Q1 is switched to Bluetooth mode. Then look for “AMPAPA Q1” in your phone’s Bluetooth menu. If it still doesn’t appear, clear any previous pairings (use the remote’s Bluetooth reset function) and search again.
Does the Q1’s remote control come with batteries included?
The Q1’s remote control is sent without batteries. It uses 2 AAA batteries, so please have those ready (they are not included in the package).
