The 2004 season brought some of the most memorable duels in the World Rally Championship. Petter Solberg, Subaru driver, finished second in the drivers’ standings after the season and proved once again that he can fight to the very end, and his place is at the top! Now you can recreate the finale of one of the rallies in the form of an extensive building set from COBI, which includes the legendary car with a ceremonial diorama of the competition’s conclusion. Subaru in the 2004 WRC season The Subaru Impreza WRC 2004 was an extension of the “blobeye” concept known from the previous season but even better refined in terms of aerodynamics, reliability and handling. Subaru continued its uncompromising design philosophy: a lightweight body, high-performance suspension and a turbocharged boxer engine mated to the legendary AWD drivetrain. The team competed in WRC rounds around the world: from asphalt stages, through loose gravel to the demanding routes of northern Europe. The 2004 season went down in history as a time of incredibly fierce competition, where details, precision and perfect teamwork were paramount. It was these emotions, along with the final meters of the stage in Japan, the finishing ceremony, and the moment of triumph, that inspired this unique set. Key features of the COBI Subaru Impreza WRC 2004 set: A collector’s-scale Subaru Impreza WRC 2004 model – a faithfully reproduced silhouette of the 2004 rally car, featuring the distinctive “blobeye” front end, sporty body lines, rally design and distinct racing DNA. 212 bricks – the extensive construction ensures an engaging building process that provides genuine satisfaction for both younger builders and adult collectors. Two racer figures – the set includes two figures in faithfully reproduced Subaru rally suits. They were inspired by Petter Solberg and his co-driver, Phil Mills. This is the perfect complement to the entire set, bringing it to life and allowing you to create your own exciting rally stories. Finish Line Diorama – the elaborate, striking ceremonial gate is the centerpiece of the set and attracts attention from the very first glance. This creates a unique atmosphere and makes the model stand out from classic car sets. Final Ceremony Accessories – The set includes distinctive accessories known from the end of rallies: a symbolic golden cup for the winners and decorative flowers that emphasize the significance of the triumph and sporting success. These allow for a perfect re-creation of the awards ceremony. Two flags – Norway and Japan – symbolize Subaru’s global presence in the world of motorsport. They refer to the competition held in Japan, a key part of the season, as well as the home country of the winning driver, Petter Solberg. Service Items – The set includes a computer for service checks of Subaru vehicles and several tools, perfect for themed dioramas and reenacting dynamic scenes from the 2004 WRC. High COBI quality – durable blocks, precise prints, high-quality stickers and a robust construction guarantee excellent visual impact and a long model life. Official Subaru license – guarantees fidelity to the historical original. Every detail is based on the 2004 rally car, which fans of the brand and motorsport will appreciate. A toy and display model in one – this set is perfect for reenacting rally scenes, races, crossing the finish line and the final ceremony, and will also look great in a display case or on a shelf of a WRC fan. The Subaru Impreza WRC 2004 in the building block version from COBI is a complete triumph scene, where the final seconds of the race transform into jubilation at the finish line.
