Hornby R30532 RailRoad EWS Class 66 Lafarge Charnwood 66022 Railway Locos

Entering service in 1998, this was one of the original 250 locomotives ordered for EWS. Funded by Locomotion Capital Ltd, it was leased to EWS until December 2008. No. 66022 was one of 60 locomotives sub-let to its Euro Cargo Rail subsidiary in France, starting in June 2006. It was then sold by to Angel Trains, who leased it to DB Schenker Rail UK, but the locomotive remained in service in France, returning to the UK for heavy maintenance when required via the Channel Tunnel. Today it is part of the DB Cargo fleet. Our RailRoad model faithfully replicates this Class 66 locomotive, with an emphasis on durability for regular model railway use.
