The SMLIGHT SLZB-MR5U is a Zigbee 3.0 coordinator designed for use with a smart home hub. A hub or server is required for operation. Typical setups include Home Assistant or Zigbee2MQTT. The adapter connects by Ethernet or USB and supports Power over Ethernet, reducing the need for separate power cables. Device mode can be changed through firmware or the hardware button. The hardware is based on ESP32 and EFR32MG24 chipsets. A built-in +20dB amplifier and external antenna help provide stable Zigbee network coverage in residential or professional installations. The device is pre-flashed and ready for configuration. It is suitable for users building or expanding a Zigbee 3.0 or Matter-over-Thread network where a reliable coordinator connected to a hub is required.
