• Is dual-band WiFi really faster?

Yes. The HK40 Plus supports both 5GHz and 2.4GHz WiFi. Use 5GHz for faster 4K video transfers and 2.4GHz for a more stable connection when needed. Bluetooth pairing also makes setup quick, so you can preview, download and share recordings with ease.

• How good is the night vision?

The HK40 Plus features an F1.5 large aperture that captures more light for brighter, clearer recordings at night. It helps capture number plates, road signs and important details on dimly lit roads, in car parks and during rainy or foggy conditions.

• How does 24-hour parking monitoring work?

Connect the HK40 Plus to the Botslab Hardwire Kit (HK 40 Plus Kit includes a Hardwire Kit ) to enable 24-hour parking monitoring. The built-in G-sensor locks impact recordings, while Time-Lapse Mode helps reduce storage use during extended parking.

• Does the dash cam include an SD card?

Yes, it includes a 32GB memory card, so there’s no need to purchase any additional accessories—the HK40 Plus Kit is ready to use right out of the box.

• Can I rotate the camera to record inside the car?

Yes. The 360° rotatable lens lets you switch between recording the road ahead and the vehicle interior. It's ideal for recording passengers, family trips, taxi or rideshare journeys, while the compact design fits neatly behind your rear-view mirror.

• [4K Ultra HD & 150° Wide Angle – See More Clearly, Capture More] Films every drive in pin-sharp 4K resolution so number plates, road signs and critical details stay clear when it counts. The 150° ultra-wide field of view covers more of the carriageway than standard dash cams — ideal for multi-lane roundabouts, busy high streets and tight junctions across the UK. Fewer blind spots mean you're always covered, whether it's a motorway incident or a city-centre scrape.
• [32GB Memory Card & Hardwire Kit Included – Truly Plug-and-Play] Unlike standard single-unit dash cams, the HK40 Plus Bundle ships ready to use straight from the box: a 32GB SD card is pre-installed so you start recording the moment you power on, and the hardwire kit is included to enable genuine 24-hour parking monitoring — no separate purchases, no hidden costs, no return trips to the checkout.
• [360° Rotatable Lens & Compact Design – Road or Cabin in Seconds] A quick twist of the lens switches you from filming the road ahead to recording the cabin, passengers or scenic routes. The discreet, screen-free body sits neatly behind your rear-view mirror so it won't distract you or block your view — capture every journey from the angle you need.
• [F1.5 Large Aperture & Ultra Night Vision – Clearer Footage After Dark] The F1.5 large aperture pulls in more light for noticeably brighter, cleaner footage after dark. Whether you're navigating unlit country lanes in the Peak District, squeezing into a dimly lit multi-storey car park, or tackling a poorly surfaced B-road on a wet winter evening, balanced exposure and low image noise keep number plates, road signs and hazards legible — even when visibility says they shouldn't be.
• [5GHz & 2.4GHz Dual-Band Wi-Fi + Bluetooth – Fast Transfers, Rock-Solid Connection] Use 5GHz Wi-Fi for faster 4K video transfers, or 2.4GHz for a reliable connection in any environment. Preview, download and manage recordings directly in the Botslab APP without removing the SD card, and save or share road trips or accident footage in just a few taps.
• [24H Parking Monitor – Protecting Your Car, Even When You're Away] Wherever you leave your car, the HK40 Plus stays on watch. The moment a bump, knock or break-in triggers the built-in G-sensor, collision footage is instantly locked and protected from overwriting. Switch to Time-Lapse mode to shrink hours of parked footage into minutes. Thanks to the included hardwire kit, 24-hour parking monitoring works straight out of the box — a 24/7 sentry that never clocks off.
• [Super Capacitor – Protect Every Recording, Even After Power Loss] The super capacitor delivers reliable performance from -20°C to 70°C, resisting summer heat and winter cold alike. Fast charging and discharging help save important recordings during unexpected power loss, reducing the risk of lost footage — and built to last up to 100× longer than traditional lithium batteries.
• [Customer Support – 2.5-year warranty, 24/7 worry-free service] Every HK40 Plus comes with a 2-year warranty as standard. Activate it in the Botslab app and we'll add an extra 6 months — giving you 2.5 years of cover, with a free replacement if any quality issue crops up within the first month. Need a hand with setup, playback, or anything else? Our support team is here 24/7. Just drop us a message via Amazon and we'll get back to you within 24 hours.
