CSL Shelby Ceramic Coating is the award-winning water-based coating at the centre of the CSL Shelby car care range.

The water-based formula is what sets it apart in use. Solvent coatings flash quickly and punish any hesitation with high spots that need polishing back out. This one gives you a longer working window, which makes a considerable difference on a first application and on larger panels.

Once cured, the coating produces a high contact angle, so rain gathers into tight beads and rolls off carrying loose dirt with it. Underneath that, it shields the paint against road film, UV exposure and chemical fallout.

Preparation determines the outcome. The coating bonds to bare paint, so wash, decontaminate and panel wipe with CSL Shelby Stripped Bare before you start. Residual wax or polish oil is the single most common cause of a coating that fails early.

Directions: work in a shaded, dust-free area on a fully dry vehicle at moderate temperature. Apply a few drops to the applicator and coat one panel at a time in overlapping passes. Allow it to flash, then level thoroughly with a clean microfibre cloth. Do not expose the vehicle to water during the initial cure period.

Durability depends on preparation, application, climate, mileage and how the vehicle is washed afterwards.
