Induction technology heats cookware directly rather than warming the glass surface first, so pans heat up faster and the hob responds quickly when you adjust the settings. The hob has an 18cm zone rated at 1800/2000W and a 16cm zone rated at 1300/1500W, both suitable for cookware with a magnetic base.

Touch sensitive controls give you 9 power levels to fine tune your heat, and a boost function is available on both zones for faster heat-up, useful for bringing a pan of water to the boil quickly. A residual heat indicator shows an “H” on any zone that is still hot after use, so you know to take care around the glass surface.

A digital timer can be set for up to 99 minutes on each zone, useful for simmering, boiling, or timing a recipe without watching the clock. A pause function lets you temporarily stop cooking on all zones at once without switching the hob off completely, and a child lock disables the touch controls to help prevent accidental changes.
