Medium 120 Grit Lapping Paste 2.5kg – Water Based Silicon Carbide Sharpening Compound for Cylinder Mowers

Medium 120 Grit Lapping Paste 2.5kg – Water Based Silicon Carbide Sharpening Compound for Cylinder Mowers, Cutting Blades & Workshop Equipme

This Medium 120 Grit Lapping Paste is a water-based silicon carbide sharpening compound supplied in a generous 2.5kg tub, designed for the maintenance and sharpening of cylinder mowers, cutting blades, and workshop equipment. The medium-grade 120 grit abrasive strikes an effective balance between cutting action and surface finish, making it ideal where a less aggressive approach than coarse 80 grit is required. Incorporating silicon carbide grit within a stable gel system, the compound is engineered to enhance sharpening performance and efficiently reach cutting surfaces. The water-based, oil-free formulation offers low odour and can be rinsed away with water, providing a convenient alternative to conventional grease-based grinding compounds. Particularly well suited to back-lapping mowing machinery blades, this paste is recommended for fine finishing of large mowers and maintenance of low cutters. The cohesive, non-drying gel resists slumping, reduces fling during use, and remains rewettable even after standing. It also helps protect newly sharpened blades against corrosion, ensuring lasting results after each sharpening session.
