First broadcast on the BBC in 1971, David McKee’s gentle masterpiece turned a simple idea into something unforgettable.

Narrated by Ray Brooks, Mr Benn never needed spectacle or noise to capture our imaginations. Across just thirteen episodes, its warmth, kindness and quiet charm have endured for more than fifty years, earning its place among Britain’s most beloved children’s television programmes. This all new collection contains all 13 original episodes now restored from the original film negatives in 4K UHD, and the 14th episode that was made in 2005 called The Gladiator.
