Fitting Instructions for Electric Windows with Anti-Trap Device Precautions: 1. Handle with Care: Be aware that some edges and corners of the deflector can be sharp. Exercise caution when removing from the box and fitting. Fitting Process: 1. Open the Window: Fully open the window. 2. Lubricate the Deflector: o Apply a silicone spray or washing-up fluid to the milled edge of the deflector. 3. Position the Deflector: o At the mirror end of the window, insert the milled part of the deflectors inside the rubber channel, rest the bottom edge of the deflector on the hard rubber window seal. o Ensure it is placed on the hard rubber seal, not the soft part, as it will not hold under tension if placed on the soft part. 4. Insert the Deflector: o Gently bend the deflector if necessary. o Push the opposite end of the deflector into the window channel. 5. Secure the Deflector: o Starting from both ends and working it towards the middle, use both hands to ease the milled edge of the deflector into the window channel, ensuring it is not placed between the rubber and the metal frame. 6. Close the Window: o Close the window in several small steps. o Assist with your hand if necessary. 7. Fit Clips: o Fit 2 clips on each side. o Check where the window is making the most resistance and fit the clip near that position. Post-Fitting Instructions: 1. Initial Operation: o Operate the electric window button and close the window gradually in several small steps. o You may have to repeat this process a few times before you are able to close the window completely. 2. Window Closure: o Keep the door window closed for 24 hours to ensure the wind deflector is pressed into the rubber by the permanent pressure of the glass. 3. Final Check: o After being closed for 24 hours, the electric windows should work correctly. Rear Deflectors Fitting: 1. Insert at an Angle: o Fit rear deflectors at an angle into the window channel. o Once both ends are inside the window channel, slide the lower end to its position and secure it with metal clips.
