Pi Zero UPS HAT (B) for Raspberry Pi Zero
Pi Zero UPS HAT (B) for Raspberry Pi Zero UPS Module, 5-24V Solar Input with MPPT, I2C Monitoring, Battery Holder, Overcharge Protectio
Product Overview
Smart, Uninterrupted Power for Your Raspberry Pi Zero
The Pi Zero UPS HAT (B) transforms your Raspberry Pi Zero into a resilient, mobile, or off-grid capable device. Whether you need a reliable power backup, want to deploy a remote sensor, or are building a portable project, this HAT provides clean, regulated 5V power from a battery or solar panel. Its intelligent path management ensures your Pi continues to operate seamlessly during power source transitions. With onboard MPPT for solar input, real-time I²C monitoring, and comprehensive hardware protections, it is a complete power management solution in a compact, Pi Zero-sized footprint.
Key Features:
- True Uninterruptible Power:The ETA6003 charge management chip with dynamic path control allows your Pi Zero to run directly from input power while simultaneously charging the battery. If input power is lost, the battery takes over instantly – no reboot, no data loss.
- Versatile Solar Input with MPPT:Connect solar panels from 5V to 24V. The CN3791 chip automatically tracks the maximum power point, adjusting the charging voltage via a 6-position DIP switch (configurable from 5V to 24V) for best efficiency in variable sunlight.
- Real-Time I²C Monitoring:Using the INA219 chip, you can read live battery voltage, charge/discharge current, and power via the I²C bus. We provide a Python example (INA219.py) to get you started with your own power monitoring scripts.
- Clear Battery Status LEDs:No need to log in to check your battery. Four LEDs show an instant 4-level indication (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%). The red CHRG LED lights up while charging, giving you at-a-glance status.
- Complete Hardware Protection:The board includes solar input anti-reverse protection, battery overcharge protection, over-discharge cut-off, output overcurrent limiting, and short-circuit protection. A physical power slide switch isolates the output for safe assembly.
