Wargames Delivered – Victrix Pillage Introductory Set, Unpainted Miniatures Viking vs Irish 14 Warriors in 28mm, Buildings, Scenarios, Dice, Tokens & Double-Sided Playmat, Early Middle Age Wargaming

Pillage Intro Set: This box was designed to be the ultimate introductory set, creating both the perfect starting point for a new player, but also offering something new for existing players.

Sprues –this box set contains 4 (yes 4!) brand new sprues. These contain completely new sculpts such as the new buildings, the wattle fences, but we have also created a mixed loot frame offering a sample of existing objects and animals from across our Pillage accessories range.

Illustrations – the incredible front cover art was done by the exceptionally talented Even Amundsen.

Even is also already working on illustrations for future Pillage releases, which are going to look incredible!

The other illustrations inside the book are by Prosper Tipaldi and Johnny Schumate.

Starter Booklet –The starter booklet offers a ‘light’ version of the main rulebook. It focuses on learning the mechanics from the ground up. It also gives you some simple scenarios to work through.

What’s inside: 1 x Viking Warrior frame (8 Warriors) 1 x Irish Warrior frame (6 Warriors) 1 x Mixed Loot Frame 1 x Thatched roofs frame 1 x Walls frame (Half frame) 1 x Wattle Fences Frame 1 x 25mm round bases 1 x 50 page A4 Starter booklet 1 x A4 Poster 1 x Cardboard Tokens & Rulers Sheet 1 x 60cm x 60cm double sided paper playmat 6 x 6 sided dice Vikings vs Irish -As the original sprues for the Vikings contained 8 figures, and the Irish sprue contains 6, we factored this into the booklet and the scenarios.

Pillage revolves around equipment and objectives. In the kit, we’ve set it up so the Irish have more ranged weapons and a very powerful Danish axe. The Vikings have the numerical advantage, but since they’re the ones who have to steal the cattle, the task isn’t easy; they’ll be taking fire, and that Danish axe can be deadly. The scenarios are designed to balance out that numerical disparity. Plus, this is just an introductory set for learning the ropes. If you want to get into the strategy side of things, you’ll need to buy the rulebook and build your own warband.

Veteran players haven’t been forgotten, either! Soon after the release of this new starter set, a compendium featuring 19 new scenarios will be available for free download. Fight a bear to steal honey, brawl with an opponent after a banquet turns chaotic, or haul your longship through the woods to reach a different river while under fire from enemy troops. These diverse narrative scenarios will let you explore many facets of the game, all with a focus on fun and storytelling! We will continue to add new scenarios to the compendium over time and release regular updates. And if you’d like to suggest any scenarios, please don’t hesitate to let us know!
