Haverford police reports:

March 8

Retail Theft: Giant, 100 block West Township Line Road. Male stole about £400 in personal care items and fled the store. Mail theft: At Utility Advisory Group, 100 block North Eagle Road.

Two checks were altered and cashed after they were mailed. Theft: Lowe’s, 100 block West Township Line Road. Male used a stolen credit card to purchase gift cards.

March 9

Attempted burglary: At Builder Inc., first block Raymond Drive.

Forced entry gained through a rear door. Retail theft : Acme, 1300 block West Chester Pike. Male stole laundry detergent and body wash.

Mail theft: 400 block Steel Road. Victim reported several pieces of mail had been taken out of her mailbox. Fraud: 300 block Ardmore Avenue.

Someone accessed his Amazon account and purchased an Ipad.

March 10

Theft: 200 block of Fawn Lane. Unlocked vehicle entered. Brief case containing tax documents and credit cards stolen.

Fraudulent activity was reported on the credit cards. DUI: A 47-year-old man from North 62nd Street, Philadelphia, was charged with DUI and possession of marijuana at Wynnefield Drive and Eagle Road. DUI: A 19-year-old man from Wilmington, Delaware, charged with DUI, reckless driving, unregistered vehicle, carrying false identification and underage drinking at South Eagle and Steel Roads.

Theft: YMCA in the 800 block of North Eagle Road. Unlocked vehicle entered and wallet stolen.

March 13

Retail theft: Kohl’s in the 200 block of West Chester Pike. Loss prevention officer observed a male exit the fitting room wearing layers of clothing under his clothes.

Theft: 1600 block of Surrey Lane. Hydraulic hammer attachment valued at £5,000 to £11,000 stolen from a job site. Arrest: A 40-year-old man from the 3700 block of Woodland Avenue, Drexel Hill, was charged on a protection-from-abuse violation in the 100 block of Flintlock Road for an incident that occurred on March 10.

Vandalism: 1500 block Darby Road. Storm door kicked in.

March 14

Theft: At Haverford College. Two water heaters valued at £1,200 each were stolen from a locked garage.

Vehicle theft: 2500 block of Belmont Avenue.

March 15

Retail theft: Lowe’s 100 block Wes Township Line Road. Male stole three battery packs, with total value of £390. Scammed: 700 block of Wynnewood Road.

Victim reported that his computer froze and a message was displayed providing him with a phone number. He was advised to withdraw £6,000 and obtain gift cards. He sent the gift cards and also sent cryptocurrency to the phone number provided.

The victim recognized the scam when his computer didn’t unlock.

The pictured male, wearing a dark hooded jacket and ski type face mask, attempted to remove seven ceiling fans from the Lowe's located at 116 West Township Line Road. March 16

Attempted burglary: 500 block North Eagle Road. Garage window shattered. Nothing missing.

DUI: A 35-year-old man from the 7000 block of Aberdeen Road in Upper Darby Township was charged with DUI, suspended driver’s license, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on West Chester Pike.

March 17

Fraud: At Direct Paint and Collision, 1000 block North Eagle Road. Someone attempted to fraudulently cash employee checks.

March 18

Theft: 400 block College Avenue. Victim reported two pocket doors, table saw and a 10-foot break, valued at approximately £5,500 was stolen from a job site.

March 19

Retail theft: Kohl’s in the 200 block of West Chester Pike.

Loss prevention officer reported that an unknown woman walked out with a shopping cart full of merchandise. Bank theft: 400 block Earlington Road. Victim reported that someone gained access to his bank account and made a transfer.

March 20

Theft: 2100 block of County Line Road.

Catalytic converter stolen from vehicle. Retail theft: Fine Wine and Good Spirits, Manoa. Male stole a £34 bottle of tequila.

Disorderly conduct:  First block Garlor Drive. A 28-year-old resident of block was cited for disorderly conduct and harassment.

March 21

Theft: First block Downs Circle. Catalytic converter stolen from vehicle.

Identity theft: 700 block Homestead Avenue.

Victim reported that someone used his identity to open a credit card account.
